Central Library of Nabagram Amar Chand Kundu College

The college has a central library with a rich collection of textbooks, reference books, and student-friendly journals. In addition to the printed books and journals, the library also subscribes to an e-book database for its readers. The library provides various services including Library Orientation, Reference, Lending, Reprographic, Career Guidance, Current Awareness, and Selective Dissemination of Information.

Library Rules

1. সোমবার থেকে শনিবার পর্যন্ত প্রত্যেক কর্মদিবসে লাইব্রেরী খোলা থাকবে। The library will remain open on every working day from Monday to Saturday.
2. লাইব্রেরী খোলা থাকবে ১০.৩০ থেকে ৪.৩০ টা পর্যন্ত। বিশেষক্ষেত্র ছাড়া, ছাত্র-ছাত্রীরা লাইব্রেরীর যাবতীয় কাজ (বই দেওয়া/নেওয়া,পড়াশোনা ইত্যাদি) করতে পারবে ১১ টা থেকে ৪.০০ টা পর্যন্ত। The library will remain open from 10.30 am to 4.30 pm. Except in special cases, students can do all library work (giving/borrowing books, studying etc.) from 11 am to 4.00 pm.
3. অপরিচিত/বহিরাগত বা সদস্য নন এমন কোন আগন্তুক কে লাইব্ররীতে প্রবেশের অনুমতি দেওয়া হবে না। প্রাক্তন ছাত্রদের ক্ষেত্রে কলেজ কর্তৃপক্ষের অনুমতি নিতে হবে। এক্ষেত্রে তাদের কোন রকম বই বা নথি “Issue” করা হবে না। No stranger/outsider or non-member visitor will be allowed to enter the library. In case of ex-students, permission of the college authority is required. In such cases, no book or document will be issued to them.
4. একজন ছাত্র-ছাত্রী একটি করে বই নিতে পারবে। ব্যাতিক্রম কিছু ক্ষেত্রে ,উর্দ্ধতন কর্তৃপক্ষের অনুমতিক্রমে অতিরিক্ত বইয়ের অনুরোধ করা যেতে পারে । A student can take one book at a time. In exceptional cases, additional books may be requested with the permission of concerned authorities.
5. দশ দিনের (১০) জন্য বই, নিজ ব্যবহারের জন্য রাখতে পারবে। একমাসের (১) মধ্যে শুধুমাত্র এক বারের (১) জন্য পুনর্নবীকরণ (RENEW) করা যাবে। The issued books can be kept for a maximum period of ten (10) days. The issued books can be renewed only once within one month.
6. ছাত্র-ছাত্রীরা লাইব্রেরীর “Reading Room” এ পড়াশোনা করতে পারবে। (এই সময়ে সর্বাধিক.২-৩টি বই ব্যবহার করতে পারবে)। . Dictionary/ Journal/Question Paper শুধুমাত্র “Library Reading Room” এর ব্যবহার করা যাবে। এগুলি ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের 'Issue' করা হবে না। Students can study in the Reading Room of the library. (Maximum 2-3 books can be used at this time). . Dictionary/Journal/Question Paper can be used in Library Reading Room only. These will not be issued to students.
7. ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের জানানো যাচ্ছে যে, বই “Issue” করার আগে বই- এর আভ্যন্তরীণ ও বাহ্যিক অবস্থা (যেমন – বই ছেঁড়া,কলম/পেন্সিলের দাগ,পৃষ্ঠা খুলে যাওয়া,নোংরা বা অযত্নে থাকা, ইত্যাদি) যাচাই করে নিতে। বই ফেরতের সময় একই ভাবে লাইব্রেরী কর্মী যাচাই করে নেবে। Students are advised to check the internal and external condition of the book (eg – damaged copies, pen/pencil marks, torn pages, etc.) before issuance of the book. The same will be checked by the library staff at the time of book return.
8. বই ১০ দিনের বেশি রাখলে,দশ দিনের পর থেকে প্রতিদিন ২ টাকা করে জরিমানা (Fine) করা হবে। (মাসিক প্রতি সর্বাধিক ২০ টাকা দিতে হবে,জমা নেওয়ার দিন যদি ছুটি থাকে, তবে পরের কর্মদিবসে বই জমা দিতে হবে)। If the book is kept for more than 10 days, a fine of Rupees two/- per day will be imposed from tenth day onwards. (A maximumof Rs 20/- per month will be charged) If there is a holiday on the day of submission, then the book should be submitted on the next working day.
9. বই হারিয়ে ফেললে বা বইয়ের ক্ষতিগ্রস্থ হলে, তাকে নতুন বই কিনে দিতে হবে।(লাইব্রেরীতে তার পূর্বে জানাতে হবে)। লাইব্রেরীর মধ্যে আচার-আচরণ ,ভদ্রতা, নীরবতা ও পরিচ্ছন্নতা বজায় রাখতে হবে।
